Hello!  At this point, you obviously know that I design and develop custom websites.  Below, I’ve written a short bio to give you an idea of how I got to this point in my career as a web professional (that sounds so official!).  Oh, and I just want to say thank you for taking the time to read about me!  Please reach out to me soon, I would love to learn more about you and your business. Thank you!

I am Wilson Usman.  I currently live and work in Toledo, Ohio USA.

For work, I create websites.  I am primarily a front-end designer/developer (the front-end is what you see in your browser).

I like to think the web is a different world, that's why I use my business knowledge, and combine it with web design and development and UI planning.

I studied Finance and Economics at the University of Toledo, but left early to work for a Fortune 500 company.  After working 80 hours a week (and a tough boss) at this high-energy sales job, I developed sales, entrepreneurship and business skills in a short time.  About two years, I decided to take a break for a year and develop my skills in online marketing, web design and development. I figured, if I could put the same amount of effort into something I liked and enjoyed, do great and be happier.

From Sales-Dude to Curious Web Design

Not having any idea where to start I looked in the interwebs aka Google for resources and content.  I intantly became curious about having the ability to make nothing into something for basically $0.  I learned about blogger and wordpress and played around creating content at first and journaling my way from noob to now.  I was able to learn how to create a web app from trial-and-error.  I spent hundreds of hours reading and applying everything I consumed.  But!  I wouldn’t change a thing.  I love being able to create something from scratch.   I am a creator at heart.

I team up with my clients to create a strategy BEFORE we start to design and develop their website.

You do what????!  team up?  Does that mean that I talk to my clients before we start to put a bunch of time and money into something?  I know this might seem crazy, but it’s not.  I actually have conversations with my clients via bookstore/coffee shop meeting, email, Skype and phone if necessary to make sure we are on the same page.  I just think communication is key to making great things right – and I like making great things!

I enjoy working with entrepreneurs, if you're looking for someone, and you think I can solve your problem send me a message and let’s talk more.
